As we’ve evolved, so has our identity.

Where it started

Although neverlabel was originally conceived way back in the early 2000’s, it wasn’t until the launch of Mother, Earth and an influential push from a certain individual—thank you by the way—that we launched our identity to the world in 2019.

Our lockup was a reaction to the world around us and a vehicle that could be used to get conversations that matter started.

Where it’s going

As the content and conversation always comes first, we decided to evolve our design system to enable the neverlabel mark to become even more flexible—allowing it to take a back seat, or come forward in the communication when it needs to.

Embracing the underscore, which has now become synonymous in all our pieces, we’ve reverted back to an all lowercase lockup—similar to that of the early 2000 version—whilst maintaining the clean and versatile typeface.

The updated system allows all future collaborations & partnerships to be of equal weighting, freeing the brand to do even more going forward.
